  • Memory is essential to normal human functioning.
  • Without memory we could not recognise anyone or anything familiar.
  • We would not be able to talk, read, or write because we could not remember anything about language.
  • We wouldn’t be able to learn from experiences.

Define Anterograde Amnesia

A

A loss of the ability to create new memories after the event that caused the amnesia, leading to a partial or complete inability to recall the recent past, while long-term memories from before the event remain intact.
