Memory Items A350 Flashcards
Loss of braking
- If no braking:
REV……….MAX
If needed, the flight crew may keep maximum reverse thrust until full aircraft stop.
BRAKE PEDALS……….RELEASE
When the flight crew sets the A-SKID to OFF, the control of the braking is transferred from the BCS to the RBCU, and the emergency braking mode is activated. Consequently the PF should release the brake pedals before the PM selects the A-SKID to OFF. This action avoids brutal braking application.
A-SKID……….ORDER
The PF orders the PM to select the A-SKID to OFF.
A-SKID……….OFF
BRAKE PEDALS……….PRESS
The pressure of the brakes is automatically limited.
- If still no braking:
PARK BRK……….ON
EMER DESCENT
- If the pressure altitude is above 10000ft:
CREW OXY MASKS……….USE
SIGNS……….ON
EMER DESCENT……….INITIATE
- If A/THR is not active:
ALL THR LEVERS……….IDLE
If the A/THR is active, check A/THR is at IDLE on the ED.
SPEED BRAKES LEVER……….FULL
STALL RECOVERY
As soon as any stall indication is recognized, apply the immediate actions.
NOSE DOWN PITCH CONTROL……….APPLY
This will reduce angle of attack
BANK……….WINGS LEVEL
- When out of stall (no longer stall indications):
THRUST……….INCREASE SMOOTHLY AS NEEDED
SPEEDBRAKES……….CHECK RETRACTED
FLIGHT PATH……….RECOVER SMOOTHLY
- If in clean configuration and below 20000ft:
FLAP 1……….SELECT
STALL WARNING AT LIFTOFF
If stall warnings trigger at liftoff, apply the following immediate actions:
THRUST……….TOGA
At same time:
PITCH ATTITUDE……….12.5°
BANK……….WINGS LEVEL
UNRELIABLE AIR SPEED INDICATION
- If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted:
AP……….OFF
A/THR……….OFF
FD……….OFF
The flight crew considers the ADR speed unreliable. As a consequence, they must not use AP/FD and A/THR.
PITCH / THRUST:
Below THR RED ALT……….12.5°/TOGA
Above THR RED ALT and Below FL 100……….10°/CLB
Above THR RED ALT and Above FL 100……….5°/CLB
FLAPS (if CONF 0(1)(2)(3))……….MAINTAIN CURRENT CONF
FLAPS (if CONF FULL)……….SELECT CONF 3 AND MAINTAIN
SPEED BRAKES……….CHECK RETRACTED
L/G……….UP
TAWS CAUTION “OBSTACLE AHEAD”, “TERRAIN AHEAD”, “TERRAIN TERRAIN” or “TOO LOW
TERRAIN”
During night or IMC conditions:
Simultaneously:
AP……………………………………………………………………………………………….OFF
PITCH…………………………………………………………………………………..PULL UP
Pull to full backstick and maintain in that position.
THRUST LEVERS……………………………………………………………………..…TOGA
SPEED BRAKES LEVER………………………………………….CHECK RETRACTED
BANK…………………………………………………………..WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
Aircraft obtain the best climb performance when the wings are as level as possible. The flight crew can adjust bank while climbing, provided that turning is the safest action.
Note: For some airports, the operator may define a specific procedure.
DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS, GEAR) UNTIL CLEAR OF OBSTACLE.
During daylight and VMC conditions, with terrain and obstacles clearly in sight:
FLIGHT PATH………………………………………………………………………….ADJUST
Adjust pitch, bank and thrust to silence the alert.
Note: For some airports, the operator may define a specific procedure.
