A

TAKEOFF
If before V1 - reject takeoff
If after V1
- Thrust levers - simultaneously call “firewall” and set or confirm TOGA
- reaching VR - rotate
- SRS orders - follow (if FD bars not displayed, initially 17.5 degree pitch)

AIRBORNE
- Thrust levers - simultaneously call “firewall” and set or confirm TOGA
- AP (if engaged) - keep ON
- SRS orders - follow (if FD bars not displayed, initially 17.5 degree pitch)
Note: if needed pull sidestick fully back
- Don’t change configuration
- closely monitor flight path/ speed
- smoothly recover to climb out of windshear

A

TAKEOFF

  • before takeoff - delay/ select favourable runway)
  • during takeoff run - reject takeoff

AIRBORNE

Stall recovery

A

PF -
Simultaneously call “STALL” and:
Pitch nose down (May have to reduce thrust)
Rolls wings level

When out of stall:
Increase thrust smoothly
Check speed brakes retracted
Smoothly recover to desired flt path

If clean, below FL200:
PF -
Call “Flaps 1”

When control of flt path regained and ground contact no factor:
PF -
Accelerate to F or S speed, call
“Go around, flaps” - perform GA

PM -
Calls out and monitors flight path conditions and performs tasks for GA

Speed - select green dot and pull
Heading - pull and turn as required
Altitude - set FL220 and pull (initially)
ATC - notify

Standard strategy:
MCT/M0.82 trans to 300kt
Set Alt for LRC from QRH Perf
Set LRC Speed from QRH once level

Fixed Speed (ETOPS) strategy:
MCT/M0.82 trans to 300kt
Set Alt to 17000
- adjust alt to maintain 330kt

Obstacle strategy:
MCT/ Green dot speed
Level off at EO drift down alt (perf crz)
Once obstacle cleared adopt standard or fixed

Monitors PF
Refers for QRH and ACPT app

If the safe conduct of flight is impacted:

- < thrust red alt: 15 degrees/ TOGA
- thrust red alt - < FL100: 10 degrees/ CLB
- >FL100: 5 degrees/ CLB
Flaps - maintain current config
(Unless full flap - retract to flap 3)
Speebrakes- check retracted
L/G - up

Level off to trouble shoot
Pitch/ thrust table - apply (QRH - NAV- unreliable airspeed)

Oceanic Diversion - Engine Out

A
  • Initiate Eng Fail during High Alt procedure

Turn to establish same direction offset track:

  • OCA: 30 degrees right/left, 5 nm offset
  • China: 30 degrees right, 5 nm offset
  • Russia: 30 degrees right, 16.2 nm offset

180 degree turn back should be avoided till under FL290

  • Minimize descent till established on dame direction offset
  • Complete memory items, ECAM
  • Turn on exterior lights
  • declare emerging 121.5/ select emerg on CPDLC
  • get clearance from ATC to divert
  • when on offset descend

Oceanic Diversion - All Engine

  • Complete memory items/ ECAM
  • Declare emergency, request diversion from ATC

If unable to obtain clearance:
Turn to establish same direction offset track:

- China: 30 degrees right, 5 nm offset
- Russia: 30 degrees right, 16.2 nm offset

  • when established on 5nm offset, climb or descend 500 ft
  • when on offset, go to QRH to select strategy

Smoke/Fire from Lithium Battery

A

Transfer control if requ’d
PA “back up to the flight deck, back up to the flight deck”

If flames:
Crew O2 mask - use
Smoke hood - use
Fire extinguisher - use

If no flames/ flames out:
Water/ non alcoholic liquid - pour on device
Device - monitor

Remove from flight deck to cabin (if possible)
