Memory Items Flashcards
Engine fire on the ground
PCL - Idle Condition lever - Cut-off/feather ACS EMERG shut off - Pull FUEL EMERG shut off - Press latch down and pull lever up Radio - Emergency call MASTER POWER switch - OFF Parking brake - OFF (If possible) Aircraft - Evacuate Fire - Extinguish
Engine Fire in flight
Engine power - reduce to minimum acceptable according to flight situation ACS EMERG shut off - Pull Oxygen donning procedure - commence Aircraft - check for fire If fire exists FUEL EMERG shut off - press latch down and pull lever up Condition lever - Cut off / feather BAT 2 Switch - Off If smoke evacuation required ACS EMERG shut off - Pull CABIN PRESSURE switch - DUMP When cabin diff is zero DV window open Fans vent switch low
Engine ITT
ITT - Check ITT indication Of ITT above 850 PCL - Reduce power If ITT warning remains Aircraft - Land as soon as possible using minimum power
Engine NG on ground/after start
NG - Check NG indication If above 103.5% PCL - Reduce power If NG is below 60%, select any as convenient Condition lever - Flight idle; or Electrical heat/cool - Inhibit; or ACS Bleed air - Inhibit
Engine NG in flight (over speed)
NG - check NG indication
If NG is above 103.5%
PCL - reduce power
If NG is above 104%
PCL - reduce power
Aircraft speed - reduce to 120 KIAS or below
Aircraft - land as soon as possible using minimum practicable power
Engine NG (NG under speed)
NG - Check NG indication
If NG is below 60%
PCL - increase power
Aircraft speed - increase
If engine does not respond to PCL inputs
Carry out engine failure in flight - partial loss of power procedure
PCL - idle
MOL - Pull upwards and move slowly forward until engine responds, wait and let engine stabilise.
Engine NP (on ground immediately after start)
NP - Check RPM indication
If propellor RPM is below 950 select as convenient
Condition lever - flight idle; or
Electrical heat/cool - INHIBIT; or
ACS Bleed air - INHIBIT; or
PCL - Retard aft of the idle detent until NP is above 950 RPM
Engine NP (On ground)
NP - Check NP RPM indication If propellor RPM is below 930 PCL - Retard aft of idle detent or increase power until No problems is above 950 If propellor RPM is above 1760 PCL - Reduce power
Engine NP (In flight)
NP - Check NP RPM indication If propellor RPM is below 1640 PCL - Increase power Aircraft speed - Increase If propellor RPM is above 1760 PCL - Reduce power Aircraft speed - Reduce
Engine oil level
Engine - Do not start engine. Maintenance required
Engine - Fill with approved oil
Engine oil pressure
Oil - Check oil PSI indication
If engine oil pressure warning is confirmed
NG - check NG above 72%
Torque - reduce below 24 PSI
If engine oil pressure warning remains
Aircraft - Land as soon as possible using minimum power
Engine oil temp (on ground)
Oil - check oil temperature indication
If oil temperature is high
Aircraft - Position into wind
Condition lever - Flight idle
PCL - increase power
If oil temperature does not return to normal
Electrical heat/cool switch - Inhibit
If engine oil temperature warning remains
Engine - shut down engine, maintenance required
If engine oil temperature is -40 or above
PCL use low power settings until oil temperature is above 10 degrees C
Engine oil temp (in flight)
Oil - check oil temperature indication
If oil temperature is high
PCL - reduce power
If oil temperature does not return to normal
Landing gear extend
If engine oil temperature warning remains
Aircraft - land as soon as practicable
Engine torque
Torque - Check torque indication If torque is above 44.3 PSI PCL - reduce power If engine torque warning remains Aircraft land as soon as possible using minimum power
Essential Bus
Overhead Panel - Confirm EPS switch is in ARMED position and EPS ON caption is on
Pitch Trim - Use Alternate Stab Trim
Aircraft - At pilots discretion, continue flight without services of failed bus or land as soon as possible. Do not fly in icing conditions
