- Set the following gear up pitch attitude thrust:
Flaps extended…………….10° and 80% N1
Flaps up………………………4° and 75% N1
3
Q
APU Fire
A
- APU fire switch……….confirm………..Pull, rotate to the stop, and hold for 1 second.
- APU switch……………………………….OFF
4
Q
Cabin altitude warning or Rapid depressurisation
A
- Don oxygen mask and set regulator to 100%
- Establish crew communications
- Pressurisation mode selector……………….MAN
- Outflow VALVE switch……………….HOLD in CLOSE until the outflow VALVE indication shows fully closed
- If cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
Passenger signs…………………….ON
PASS OXYGEN switch……………ON
Complete emergency decent checklist memory items
5
Q
Elevator tab limit cycle oscillation
A
- Airspeed……………………..reduce to 270 KIAS or until the vibration ceases, whichever is lower
- Do not use speedbrakes or change the aircraft configuration to reduce speed
6
Q
Emergency decent
A
- Announce the emergency decent. The pilot flying will advise the cabin crew, on the PA system, of impending rapid decent. The pilot monitoring will advise ATC and obtain the area altimeter setting.
- Passenger signs …………………………..ON
- Without delay, decent to lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher
- ENGINE START switches (both)………CONT
- Thrust levers (both)………………. reduce thrust to minimum or as needed for anti-ice
- Speedbrake………………………… FLIGHT DETENT
- Set target speed or Mmo/Vmo - caution, if structural integrity is in doubt, limit speed as much as possible and avoid high manoeuvring loads
7
Q
Engine fire
or
Engine severe damage or separation
A
- Auto throttle (if engaged)…………… Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine)……..confirm……..close
- Engine start lever (affected engine)………. confirm………CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected engine)……… confirm……..PULL
To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override and pull - If the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated:
Engine fire switch……. Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
If after 30 seconds the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:
Engine fire switch……….. Rotate to the other stop and hold for 1 second
8
Q
Engine limit or Surge or Stall
A
- Auto throttle (if engaged) ……………..Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine)……… confirm…….retard until engine indications stay within limits or thrust lever is closed
9
Q
Engine overheat
A
- Auto throttle (if engaged)…………….Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine)………confirm……. close
- If the ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:
»> go to ENGINE FIRE or ENGINE SEV DAMAGE or SEPARATION checklist and memory items

A
- ENGINE START switches (both)…………..FLT
- Engine start levers (both)………………..CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases:
Engine start levers (both)…………. IDLE DETENT - If EGT reaches 950° or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds:
Engine start lever (affected engine)……… confirm……CUTOFF, then IDLE detent
If EGT again reaches 950° or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds, repeat as needed.
12
Q
Runaway Stabilizer
A
- Control column……………………… Hold firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged)……………. Disengage
Do not re-engage the autopilot
Control airplane pitch attitude manually with control column and main electric trim as needed. - Autothrottle (if engaged)………… Disengage
Do not re-engage the autothrottle - If the runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:
“Checklist complete” - If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both)……….. CUTOUT
If the runaway continues:
Stabilizer trim wheel………….. Grasp and hold

A
- Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
14
Q
Warning horn (Intermittent)
or
Warning light - cabin altitude or takeoff configuration
A
- If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a CABIN ALTITUDE light (if installed and operative) illuminated in flight at an airplane flight altitude above 10,000 feet MSL:
Don the oxygen mask and set the regulators to 100%
Establish crew communication
»> go to CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING or Rapid Depressurization checklist and memory items - If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a TAKEOFF CONFIG light (if installed and operative) illuminates on the ground when advancing the thrust levers to takeoff thrust:
Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
