Memory Items Flashcards
Engine failure during takeoff
Decision speed is rotate.
Flap 15. 79kts. Flap 30. 73kts
Before decision speed PCL idle Max braking If required Feather, fuel emerg shutoff, gangbar off.
Airborne below 500 agl Nose down 5 degrees. Select landing site Confirm full or partial failure. PCL idle Consider flap and gear. If putting gear down, non essential bus. If full failure, feather, fuel emerg shutoff. Flap 40 Gang bar off
Above 500 agl, can turn 90 degrees
Above 1000 agl can turn back. Nose down 5 deg Turn into wind, max 45 bank PCL idle. Confirm full or partial failure. If full failure, feather, fuel emerg shutoff Flaps 15. On final, gear down, non essential bus Flaps as required. Gang bar off
Above 2000 agl, consider MOR
Engine failure in flight
Push go around button.
Put altitude selector on altitude well above current altitude.
When IAS approx 115kts, put AP in IAS mode
Choose landing airfield. Select DCT TO
Mayday call. 7700
Consider MOR
If failed, PCL idle, feather, fuel emerg shutoff
Engine fire on ground
PCL idle
Feather
ECS emerg shutoff
Fuel emerg shutoff
Radio call Gang bar off Park brake off is possible Evacuate aircraft Extinguish fire
Engine fire in flight
Reduce power to about 15 psi ECS emerg shutoff Oxygen masks on (all occupants) Pax oxy selector on Confirm fire exists. If so. Fuel emerg shutoff PCL idle Feather Emergency descent and landing
Emergency Descent
PCL idle Gear down (below 177kts) Then Mmo Vmo. 236 kts. 170 in turbulence Occupants tighten belts Crew don masks if cabin exceeds 10,000 Pax oxy auto.
Cabin fire or smoke
Crew oxy masks. 100% Pax oxy on Pax to don masks Descent to 10,000 Proceed to nearest airport
If smoke persists ECS emerg shutoff Cabin Press switch. DUMP When cabin diff is 0, open DV window Fans on Fire extinguisher if required Follow QRH to isolate if electrical.
Inadvertent Pusher Operation
Hold control yoke
Press and hold pusher interrupt switch
Pull PUSH SYS CB (battery bus bar)
Follow QRH
Trim runaway
Trim interrupt switch
Follow QRH
Cabin Pressure Fail
Oxygen masks on for everyone.
Descend to 10,000
Autopilot Trim
Red “A/P TRIM” on CAWS
Autopilot malfunction. Abrupt control and/or aeroplane motion, an A/P TRIM green caws caption or a AP TRIM warning with warning tone.
1 and 2 simultaneously
- Grasp control wheel firmly
- Autopilot disengage switch
- Retrim manually as required
- PULL AUTOPILOT circuit breaker
(Avionics 2 busbar)
