TCAS RA
”TCAS, I have control”
- AP (if engaged) OFF
- FD CHECK OFF
- VERTICAL SPEED ADJUST or MAINTAIN
(Respect stall, TAWS, or windshear warnings.) - ATC NOTIFY (PM)
When the “CLEAR OF CONFLICT” sounds:
- ATC NOTIFY (PM)
- LATERAL + VERTICAL GUIDANCE ADJUST
- AP/FD AS RQRD
If any “CLIMB” aural alert sounds during the final approach
- GO-AROUND PERFORM
WINDSHEAR AHEAD
“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
Before takeoff:
- TAKEOFF DELAY
- MOST SUITABLE RUNWAY SELECT
During the takeoff run:
- TAKEOFF REJECT
When airborne, at initial climb:
- THR LEVERS TOGA
- AP (if engaged) KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS FOLLOW
GO AROUND, WINDSHEAR AHEAD
“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
At landing:
- GO AROUND PERFORM
- FLAPS RETRACT ONE STEP
- L/G UP SELECT
- AP (if engaged) KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS FOLLOW
WINDSHEAR
“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
On ground, at takeoff, before V1:
- If there are significant variations in airspeed, and in airspeed trend below the indicated V1, reject T/O
On ground, at takeoff, after V1:
- REACHING VR ROTATE NORMALLY
- SRS ORDERS FOLLOW
When airborne, during initial climb, or at landing:
- THR LEVERS AT TOGA SET OR CONFIRM
- AP (if engaged) KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS FOLLOW
- DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (FLAPS, GEAR) UNTIL OUT OF WINDSHEAR, EXCEPT IN APPROACH OR GO-AROUND WHERE IT IS RECOMMENDED TO ONLY RETRACT ONE STEP OF FLAPS AT WINDSHEAR DETECTION.
- CAREFULLY MONITOR FLIGHT PATH AND SPEED.
- RECOVER SMOOTHLY TO CLIMB, WHEN OUT OF WINDSHEAR.
TAWS PULL UP
“PULL UP TOGA”
If the TAWS triggers one of the PULL UP alerts:
- AP OFF
- PITCH PULL UP
Pull up to full backstick and maintain in that position.
- THRUST LEVERS TOGA
- SPEED BRAKES CHECK RETRACTED
- BANK WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
If the flight path is safe, and the TAWS warning stops:
- PITCH REDUCE
- SPEED ACCELERATE
If the speed is above VLS, and the vertical speed is positive:
- FLAPS RETRACTION CONSIDER
LOSS OF BRAKING
“LOSS OF BRAKING”
- REV MAX (PF)
- BRAKE PEDALS RELEASE
- A-SKID ORDER (PF)
- A-SKID OFF (PM)
- BRAKE PEDALS PRESS (PF)
- BRK PRESS : DO NOT EXCEED 1000 PSI (PF)
If still no braking:
- PARK BRK ON (PF)
STALL
“STALL, I HAVE CONTROL”
- NOSE DOWN PITCH CONTROL APPLY
- BANK WINGS LEVEL
- POWER INCREASE AS NEEDED
When out of stall (no longer stall indications):
- SPEED BRAKES CHECK RETRACTED
- FLIGHT PATH RECOVER SMOOTHLY
UNRELIABLE AIRSPEED
“UNRELIABLE AIRSPEED”
If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted:
- AP/FD OFF
- A/THR OFF
- PITCH/THRUST:
Below THR RED ALT 11°/TOGA
Above THR RED ALT & <FL150 11°/MCL
Above FL 150 6°/MCL - FLAPS (0-4) MAINTAIN CURRENT CONF
- FLAPS (FULL) SELECT CONF 4 & MAINTAIN
- SPEED BRAKES CHECK RETRACTED
- L/G UP
(When at or above MSA or Circuit Altitude: Level off for troubleshooting)
EMERGENCY DESCENT
“EMERGENCY DESCENT”
If the aircraft is at or above FL 100:
- CREW OXY MASKS USE
- SEAT BELTS ON
- EMER DESCENT INITIATE
If the autothrust is not active:
- ALL THR LEVERS FLT IDLE
- SPEED BRAKE SW FULL
IF ANY PWR RATING SELECTED :
- PWR RATING DESELECT
IF STRUCTURAL DAMAGE SUSPECTED :
- MANOEUVRE WITH CARE
- SPEED MAX / APPROPRIATE
- ATC NOTIFY (PM)
- EMER DESCENT (PA) ANNOUNCE (PM)
- ATC SQUAWK 7700 CONSIDER (PM)
- MAX FL 100/MEA-MORA (PM)
IF CAB ALT > 14000 FT :
- PAX MASKS ON (PM)
WHEN DESCENT ESTABLISHED :
- CREW OXY MASKS Norm
SIDESTICK FAILURE
‘sidestick failure, I have control’
- Press and hold Takeover Pb PF
- Attempt to control aircraft PF
If control not regained:
- Release Takeover Pb PF
- Hand over control to PM PF
- Press and hold Takeover Pb PM
- Attempt to control aircraft PM
When aircraft control regained:
- Working sidestick, hold Takeover Pb>30s
