WINDSHEAR RECOVERY

A

MANUAL FLIGHT

Call “WINDSHEAR, TOGA”

AP - OFF
TOGA - PUSH
THRUST - MAX
AT - OFF

Wings level, pitch 15 degrees

Speedbrakes - retract
Flight director TOGA guidance - follow if available.

AUTOMATIC FLIGHT

Call “WINDSHEAR TOGA”
TOGA - PUSH
TOGA on FMA - Verify
GA THRUST - Verify
Speed brakes - RETRACT
monitor performance.

MANUAL OR AUTO FLIGHT

  1. Level aircraft as was configured until clear of WINDSHEAR
  2. Maintain wings level to maximize climb gradient unless turn required for obstacle
  3. Monitor vertical speed and altitude
  4. Do not attempt to regain lost airspeed until WINDSHEAR is no longer a factor.
