Aborted engine start
FUEL CONTROL switch (affected engine) — CUTOFF
IAS Disagree or Airspeed Unreliable
- Autopilot disengage
- A/T ARM switch — OFF
- F/D switches (both) — OFF
- Power & pitch:
10° — 90% N1
4° — 80% N1
Cabin Altitude or Rapid Depressurization
- Don oxygen masks
- Establish crew communications (“Intercom check”)
- Check the cabin altitude & rate
- Cabin uncontrollable:
-SUPRNMRY OXY
-Descend to lowest safe altitude or 14,000 feet (Thrust idle, speedbrakes & Vmo/Mmo)
ENG 1,2,3,4 Autostart
FUEL CONTROL switch affected engine — Confirm — CUTOFF
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
Thrust lever (affected engine) — confirm — Retard until engine indications stay within limits or lever is idle
FIRE ENG 1,2,3,4 or Engine Severe Damage or Separation
- Thrust lever (affected engine) — confirm — Idle
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected engine) — confirm — CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected engine) — confirm — Pull
- IF the FIRE ENG message is shown — Rotate to the stop and hold for 1s
Multiple Engine Flameout or Stall
- IFB & IFD: CONT IGNITION switch — ON
- FUEL CONTROL switches (affected engines) — confirm— CUTOFF, then run
- IF EGT increases rapidly approaching the EGT start limit — Repeat above steps as needed
Approach to stall
Hold column firmly
Disconnect A/P & A/T
Smoothly put the nose down, add thrust, wings level
No configuration changes
GPWS
Disengage A/P
Disconnect A/T
Aggressively full thrust
Wings level & 20° pitch
Retract speedbrakes
No configuration changes
Windshear
Disengage A/P
Press TO/GA
Aggressive full thrust
Disconnect A/T
Wings level & 15° pitch
Retract speedbrakes
Follow F/D
