A

If no braking

Call “Loss of Braking”

  • Rev - MAX
  • Brake pedals - RELEASE
  • A/SKID Off - ORDER
    (PF orders PM to set A/SKID and NWS to OFF).
  • A/SKID & N/W Steering - OFF
  • Brake Pedals - PRESS
  • Max brake pressure - 1000 psi

If still no braking

  • Park brake - USE
    (short successive applications)

A

Call “Emergency Descent”

Crew oxygen masks - USE

Signs - ON

Emer Descent - INITIATE

if A/THR not active

  • THR Levers - IDLE

Nose Pitch Down Control - APPLY

When out of stall

Thrust - INCREASE SMOOTHLY AS NEEDED

Speedbrakes - CHECK RETRACTED

if clean config and <20,000 ft

Flaps1 - SELECT

A

Call “Unreliable Speed”

If the safe conduct of flight is impacted:

AP - OFF

A/THR - OFF

FD - OFF

Pitch/Thrust:
- Below THRUST RED ALT - 15deg/TOGA
- Above THRUST RED ALT, Below FL100 - 10 deg/CLIMB
- Above THRUST RED ALT, Above FL100 - 5 deg, CLIMB

FLAPS (if CONF 0 (1)(2)(3))- MAINTAIN CURRENT CONFIG

FLAPS (if CONF FULL) - SELECT CONF 3 and MAINTAIN

Speedbrakes - CHECK RETRACTED

L/G - UP

When above MSA, level off for troubleshooting.

A

Call “Pull Up TOGA” (if required, not all actions require Pull up and TOGA)

(EGPWS alerts ) “Terrain Terrain, Too Low Terrain, Terrain Ahead, Obstacle Ahead”

During Night or IMC

  • AS PER EGPWS WARNING MEM ITEM

In DAY VMC with obstacle/terrain in sight

  • Flight Path - ADJUST

“Sink Rate”

Above 1000 ft AAL in IMC or above 500 ft AAL in VMC

  • Flight Path - ADJUST

Below 1000 ft AAL in IMC or below 500 ft AAL in VMC

  • Go Around - CONSIDER

“Don’t Sink”

  • Flight Path - ADJUST

“Too Low Gear, Too Low Flaps”

  • Go Around - PERFORM

“GlideSlope”

Above 1000 ft AAL in IMC or above 500 ft AAL in VMC

  • Flight Path - ADJUST

(IF required for particular approach)
G/S Mode - OFF

Below 1000 ft AAL in IMC or below 500 ft AAL in VMC

  • Go Around - CONSIDER

A

Call “Pull Up TOGA”

Pull Up, Terrain Ahead - Pull Up, Obstance Ahead - Pull Up

AP - OFF

Pitch - PULL UP
(full backstick and hold it there)

Thrust Levers - TOGA

Speedbrake Lever - CHECK RETRACTED

Bank - WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
(can be adjusted if turning is safest option, but generally wings level is best)

DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS/GEAT) UNTIL CLEAR OF OBSTACLES.

Go Around - PERFORM

Vertical Speed - MONITOR]

ATC - NOTIFY (Qf1 tcas ra, Qf1 unable to comply tcas ra)

when clear of conflict alert sounds

ATC - NOTIFY (clear of conflict resuming xxxx)

Lateral and Vertical Guidances - ADJUST

AP/FD - AS REQUIRED

Wind shear Warning - reactive wind shear

A

Call “Windshear TOGA”

Takeoff:

If before V1

If there are significant variations in airspeed, and in airspeed trend trend below the indicated V1, reject the takeoff.

If after V1

Thr levers - TOGA
Reaching Vr - ROTATE
Srs orders - FOLLOW

Airborne - initial climb/landing

THR levers at TOGA - SET OR CONFIRM
AP (if engaged) - KEEP ON
SRS orders - FOLLOW

Do not change configuration (slats/flaps, gear) until out of wind shear.
Closely monitor the flight path and speed.
Smoothly recover to normal climb out of the wind shear.
