Memory Items Flashcards
Stall
“Stall, I have control”
- Nose down pitch control - Apply
- Bank - Wings level
- When out of stall:
- Thrust - Increase smoothly as needed
- Speed brakes - Check retracted
- Flight path - Recover smoothly
* If in the clean configuration and below 20,000’:
- Flaps 1 - Select
- When out of stall:
Stall at liftoff
“Stall TOGA 15”
- Thrust - TOGA
- Pitch - 15
- Bank - wings level
Loss of braking
“Loss of braking”
- Thrust levers - Max REV
- Brake pedals - Release
- A/SKID NWS sw - Off
- Brake pedals - Press
- Max brake press - 1000psi
- If still no braking:
- Park brake - Use
- If still no braking:
Emergency Descent
“Emergency Descent”
- Crew oxy masks - Use
- Signs - On
- Emer descent - Initiate
- If A/THR not active:
- Thrust levers - Idle
- Speed brake - Full
Unreliable speed indication
"Unreliable Speed" * If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted: - AP/ATHR/FDs - Off - Pitch/Thrust: - THR RED ALT + <10,000' = 10/CL - >THR RED ALT + >10,000' = 5/CL - Flaps: - CONF 1-3 = maintain - CONF FULL = Select CONF 3 - Speed brakes - Check retracted - L/G - Up when at or above the MSA or circuit altitude: level off for troubleshooting
TCAS
* At TA: "TCAS, I HAVE CONTROL" *At RA: - AP - Off - FDs - Off - VS demands - Follow - Respect Stall, GPWS, or windshear - Notify ATC - If "climb climb" is recieved on final approach - GA procedure apply * When clear of conflict: - Resume normal navigation in accordance with ATC instruction
EGPWS CAUTION
*“TERRAIN” x2/ “TOO LOW TERRAIN”/ “TERRAIN AHEAD”/ “OBSTACLE AHEAD”
* During NIGHT OR IMC:
- Conduct EGPWS WARNING procedure
* During DAYLIGHT AND VMC, with terrain and obstacles clearly in sight:
- Flight path - Adjust
*“DON’T SINK”:
- Flight Path - Adjust
*“SINK RATE”/ “GLIDESLOPE”:
* Above 1,000’ AAL in IMC or above 500’ AAL in VMC:
- Flight path - Adjust
* Below 1,000’ AAL in IMC or below 500’ AAL in VMC:
- GA - Consider
[note: when conditions require a deliberated approach below glideslope:
- G/S MODE - Off]
*“TOO LOW GEAR”/ “TOO LOW FLAPS”:
- GA - Perform
EGPWS WARNING
"PULL UP TOGA" - AP - Off - Pitch - Pull up - Thrust levers - TOGA - Speed brakes - Check retracted - Bank - Wings level OR adjust Do not change configuration (slats/flaps, gear) until clear of obstacle
WINDSHEAR WARNING - REACTIVE WINDSHEAR
“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
- At takeoff:
- If before V1:
- If there are significant variations in airspeed, and in airspeed trend below the indicated V1, reject the takeoff
- If after V1:
- Thrust levers - TOGA
- Reaching VR - Rotate
- SRS Orders - Follow
- If before V1:
- Airborne, initial climb or landing:
- Thrust levers - TOGA
- AP (if engaged) - KEEP ON
- SRS orders - Follow
- Do not change configuration (slats/flaps, gear) until out of windshear
- Closely monitor flight path and speed
- Recover smoothly to normal climb out of windshear
