Q

Engine Inoperative Cruise/Driftdown

A

🔴 Request “ENG OUT”to be selected on FMC CRZ page

🟢PM select CRZ page. Select “ENG OUT”Confirm “MOD CRZ” is displayed.

🔴Ensure VNAV engaged then set desired EO altitude in the MCP window and call “Execute” the EO D/D page. Confirm that the thrust reference changes to “CON” and the auto-throttle maintains MCT.

🟢PM ……Executes the FMS
..,,,,Exterior Light’s On
…….ATC

🔴Initiate turn with HDG/Sel (if required)

Q

TA/RA Traffic Avoidance

A

🔴TA
Look for traffic. Reduce range. Call out conflicting traffic. Maneuver if needed.

🔴RA ……Disconnect AP and AT

Smoothly adjust pitch and thrust to satisfy RA command.

Advise ATC. “TCAS RA”

For RA in landing configuration.
AP and AT off. Advance thrust full FWD to ensure MAX thrust.
Call for “Flaps 20”
Smoothly adjust pitch to satisfy RA

After positive rate …GEAR UP

A

▪️Recognize and confirm the situation
_____________________
▪️Disconnect AP and AT
_____________________
▪️Apply Nose down elevator
▪️Apply appropriate nose down trim
▪️Reduce thrust
▪️Roll to obtain nose down pitch
___________________
▪️Roll the wings level
▪️Check airspeed and adjust thrust
▪️Establish pitch

17
Q

GPWS

A

▪️”FIREWALL”
▪️AP and AT off
▪️Aggressively apply max thrust
▪️Wings Level and Rotate to 20 degrees
▪️Retract the Speed Brakes

🔺Rotate to PLI or stick shaker if required.

18
Q

STALL

A

🔴”Stall” AP / AT off

Smoothly apply nose down elevator

When out of the stall✔️

▪️Roll wings level
▪️increase thrust smoothly as required
▪️Check speed brakes retracted
▪️Maintain existing Gear and Flap

🔺if clean configuration on TO call flap 1

When control regained and ground contact or a factor✔️

AP AT on. Establish pitch and Flt path. 👍

19
Q

Windshear Warning on Take off

A

“Windshear Ahead” prior to V1..Reject

After V1 perform the Windshear escape maneuver.

If runway length available consider extending TO roll to at least 2000ft before end of runway.

20
Q

WINDSHEAR escape maneuver

A

WINDSHEAR TOGA”

🔺Manual Flight
-Disconnect A/P
-Push TOGA switch
-Apply Max thrust
-Disconnect auto throttles
-Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to 15 degrees
Retract speed brakes

🔺Automatic Flight
Push TOGA switch
Verify TOGA
Verify GA thrust
Retract speed brakes

Do not change GEAR or FLAP configuration until Windshear not a factor.

21
Q

CABIN ALTITUDE

A

Condition➖Cabin Altitude is excessive

  1. Don the oxygen masks
  2. Establish crew communications
  3. Check the cabin altitude and rate
  4. IF the cabin altitude is uncontrollable

🔺PASS OXYGEN switch…Push on hold 1 second

🔺Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10.000 ft, whichever is higher.

To descend’
🔺Move thrust levers to idle
🔺Extend Speed Brakes
🔹If structural integrity is in doubt, limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads.
🔺Descend at Vmo/MMO

22
Q

Go Around after Touchdown

A

🔸Call “Go-around, FLAPs _____”
🔸Disconnect AP and AT while smoothly advancing thrust lever to G/A thrust
🔸Varify Speedbrakes Retract
🔸Varify auto brakes disarm
🔺Once airborne press TOGA

Continue normal GA procedure

23
Q

Ground Incident

A

The Captain will
🔺maintain max brake max reverse thrust until stopped if required.
🔺Set the parking brake if required
🔺Call for the appropriate checklist

🔺If an immediate evacuation is not required he will PA “Remain Seated,Remain Seated”

🔺If immediate contact with in-charge is required, he will PA “In-charge FA call (or report) to the flight deck”

🔹The FO will complete the checklist

🔺If an evacuation is required the Capt will call “Evacuate Evacuate”

In the event of an Eng Fail on the ground an engine may be secured by requesting “Cut Off”

24
Q

Pilot Incapacitation

A

◾️Condition

Pilot
🔺Does not respond intelligently to two communications or/or
🔺Does not respond to a single verbal challenge and/or
🔺Significant deviation from standard flight profile exists.

▪️ACTIONS

🔺Assume control and ensure safe flight profile is maintained. Priority to maintain safe operation of aircraft.
🔺Engage the auto pilot
🔺Request assistance “in charge FA report to the flight deck”

▪️when Aircraft Safe Stable Alt & Config

With assistance
🔺Tilt the incap pilots seat back
🔺Move seat full back with rudder pedals full forward
🔺move the pilots head back
🔺use shoulder harness as restraint
🔺When practicable move the pilot from the seat.
