Why do you need RAM?

A

Ram stands for Random Access Memory and it is a volatile memory and It is directly available to processor so, and hold the currently executing data and instructions when running the program. It is much faster than Hard disk drive.

What is the purpose of ROM?

A

Read only memory, it is non- volatile memory is used store data and programs needed to be accessed later on. It stores boot-straper which loads the operating system when we turn the power on of the computer.
