Iconic Memory
Memory for visual stimuli.
Echoic Memory
Memory for auditory stimuli.
Eidetic Imagery
“Photographic Memory”, holds visual images in mind and recall almost perfectly.
Short-term Memory
Memory system that retains information for limited durations.
Working Memory
Our ability to hold onto information we’re currently thinking about, attending to, or processing actively.
Decay
Memories fade over time.
Interference
Loss of information due to competition with other information.
What are the two types of interference?
Retroactive, and Proactive.
