MEMORY Flashcards
Unreliable Airspeed
AP ― OFF
A/THR ― OFF
FD ― OFF
PITCH/THRUST: – Below THRUST RED ALT ― 15°/TOGA – Above THRUST RED ALT ⇓ FL 100 ― 10°/CLB ⇑ FL 100 ― 5°/CLB
FLAPS
– MAINTAIN CURRENT CONF
FLAPS CONF FULL
– SELECT CONF 3 AND MAINTAIN
SPEEDBRAKES – CHECK RETRACTED
L/G – UP
Use BIRD
When at, or above MSA or Circuit Altitude: Level off for troubleshooting.
Loss of Braking
REV………………………………….MAX
BRAKE PEDALS………………RELEASE
A/SKID ……………………………OFF
N/W STRG……………………..OFF
IF STILL NO BRAKING:
PARK BRAKE…………………..SHORT AND SUCCESSIVE APPLICATIONS
REV………………………………….MAX
BRAKE PEDALS………………RELEASE
– The PF should release the brake pedals before commanding the PM selects the A/SKID & N/W STRG sw to OFF. This action avoids brutal braking application.
A/SKID ……………………………OFF
– The PF orders the PM to set the A/SKID & N/W STRG sw to OFF.
N/W STRG……………………….OFF
– Braking system reverts to alternate mode.
BRAKE PEDALS………………PRESS
– Apply brake with care, since initial pedal force or displacement produces more braking action in alternate mode than in normal mode.
MAX BRK PR…………………..1000 PSI
– Monitor brake pressure or BRAKES PRESS indicator. Limit brake pressure to approximately 1000 PSI and, at
low ground speed, adjust brake pressure as required.
IF STILL NO BRAKING:
PARK BRAKE…………………..SHORT AND SUCCESSIVE APPLICATIONS
TCAS Warning
“TRAFFIC”
“TCAS, I have control” or “TCAS Blue”
ND SCALE ― AS RQRD
EXTERIOR LIGHTS ― ON
“RA”
AP ― OFF
FD ORDERS ― FOLLOW
– The FDs will appear if previously selected off.
TCAS mode will engage on the FMA.
VERTICAL SPEED ― MONITOR
ATC ― TCAS RA”
“CLEAR OF CONFLICT” is announced:
ATC ― “Clear of Conflict, Returning to (assigned altitude)”
-
WINDSHEAR Warning
TAKEOFF (BEFORE V1)
- The takeoff should be rejected only if significant airspeed variations occur below indicated V1 and the Captain decides that there is sufficient runway remaining to stop the airplane.
TAKEOFF (AFTER V1) “FIREWALL” THRUST LEVERS ― TOGA REACHING VR ― ROTATE SRS ORDERS ― FOLLOW
AIRBORNE, INITIAL CLIMB, LANDING “FIREWALL” THRUST LEVERS ― TOGA AP (if engaged). ― KEEP ON SRS ORDERS ― FOLLOW
EGPWS Warnings
“FIREWALL” AP ― OFF PITCH ― PULL FULL UP THRUST LEVERS ― TOGA SPEEDBRAKE ― CHECK RETRACTED BANK ― WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
AVOID TERRAIN WARNING
A/C cannot out climb the terrain ahead, turn is required
SOLID YELLOW
1000-2000 Above A/C
SOLID RED
2000+ Above A/C
Low Energy Go-Around
“FIREWALL”
THR ― TOGA THRUST
PITCH ― ADJUST TO TOUCHDOWN ATTITUDE
― When engines are at GA thrust and minimum Vapp, rotate to command bars.
Stall Recovery
“STALL”
PITCH ― NOSE DOWN (Horizon)
– Immediately pitch nose down to reduce AOA.
– In case of lack of pitch down authority, it may be necessary to reduce thrust.
BANK ― WINGS LEVEL
When stall indications stop: THRUST ― INCREASE SMOOTHLY SPEED BRAKE ― CHECK RETRACTED FLIGHT PATH ― RECOVER – Smoothly adjust pitch to establish a positive climb and to avoid secondary stall.
IF IN CLEAN CONFIGURATION AND BELOW 20 000 FT WHEN FLIGHT PATH BEING RECOVERED
FLAPS 1 ― ORDER
WHEN CONTROL OF FLIGHT PATH REGAINED AND NO RISK OF GROUND CONTACT:
GO-AROUND PROCEDURE ― PERFORM
EO - STANDARD
THR ― MCT A/THR ― OFF SPD ― M0.78/300 HDG ― Pull ALT ― SET and PULL
When V/S is 500’/min, set V/S to level off
A/THR ― ON
EO - OBSTACLE
THR ― MCT A/THR ― OFF SPD ― Green Dot HDG ― Pull ALT ― SET and PULL
When clear of obstacle, revert to Standard EO
