When the notes in a melody move up or down by semi-tones

When the 1st , 3rd and 5th notes are played in that order
What is a broken chord?
When the 1st , 3rd, 5th notes are played in that order then it goes down by to the one below and goes up again

When the 1st, 5th, 3rd and 5th notes are played in that order
What is a scale?
A set of notes ordered in order of pitch

When one instrument plays a melody just after another instrument has played
What is a trill?
When two adjacent notes are played together really quickly

When a rhythm is played again but one note higher or lower than it was
