What do title cards represent?
A seat on the small council
What happens each round with the title cards? What is the effect?
Each player assumes ones of the positions on the small council. As a result alliances and oppositions are created. Each title also grants specific bonus abilities
When do you choose your titles?
After receiving the plot cards
How are titles chosen?
In player order, each player secretly selects one of the titles. Once everybody has chosen all titles are revealed at the same time.
What happens if a player’s title supports another title?
They cannot start challenges against the player who holds that title.
What happens if a players title rivals another title?
If you attack that player and win, you gain one extra power. However, you can only win one extra power in that round.
What special abilities does the crown regent have?
They have 2 extra strength during the determination of dominance, and once during the round, they can force a player to change who they are attacking.
What special abilities does the hand of the King have?
They have one extra strength during a power challenge, and they can I initiate a power challenge against one extra person during that round.
What special abilities does the master of laws hold?
They can draw one extra card during the drawing phase and they can add one card to their reserve value
What extra ability does the master of ships hold?
During a military challenge, they have one extra strength and their claim value also increases by 1.
What extra ability does the master of whispers have?
They have one extra strength during an intrigue challenge, and if they win as an attacker, they can put their claim effect to as many of the players as they like
What extra power does the master of coin have?
They get two extra gold.
