Homologous chromosomes pair up at the equator

Homologous pairs separate and are pulled to opppsite poles by the spindle fibres

One chromosome from each homologous pair is at each pole of the cell

The stage between cell division
During this time, the cell will grow and make proteins as in interphase of mitosis
Unlike in mitosis there is no replication of DNA during this stage
