most megacities that are rapidly growing are in LIC countries, as many people in poverty encourage larger families, to guarantee more support for themselves in the future.
where are the majority of megacities, geographically?
most megacities are on a coastline, as it’s a pull factor for many people, offering luxury and great views. it also attracts more tourists, and unlocks the advantage of trade routes, and fishing opportunities.
