Tips:
- increases CV risk
- not recommended for those +35 years old, smoker, history of blood clot
- take at same time each day
- if OC is not started day 1 of menses, use other form for first week
- anti-convulsant can decreased effectiveness, increase seizures
- do not protect against STD
Side Effects: water retention, upset stomach, nausea, headache
