What were some culture losses of the invasions?
There was no longer a common language, education was not as important, and many people move to the outside of town to farm.
What were some economic issues of invading Western Europe?
Disrupting trade because of sea attacks led to a lack of money
What were some government issues with invading Western Europe?
The cities became less populated which led to cities not having a government there. The nobles moved to far away from the city.

Feudalism occurs, and people turn to their local rulers.

Military service was expected.

What did the code of chivalry ask of the knights?
The knight was to devote himself to his lady, his heavenly Lord, and his feudal lord. They were to be loyal, brave, courteous, and care for the poor. These ideals were not always done.
How were the knights trained?
At age 7, the children went off to another lord’s home and was a page, at 14 they were a squire, and at 21 they were a knight. They then travelled and did tournaments.
What were womens’ roles in the Middle Ages?
Women that were rich had many rights and powers. Poor women were equal to there husbands since neither of them had power. The men usually had more power than the women.
