A
gentle clearing
acidification +/- drying
topical abx +/- steroids (cipro)- very high conc
anti-fungals
may need wick

in neonates think gram - (GI bugs)

Abx:
1st line- high dose amoxicillin
2nd line- augmentin
erythromycin or sulfa if PCN allergy

after rapid strep test:
PCN, augmentin or clindamycin

steroids after monospot test

Avoidance Nasal saline spray or rinse decongestants- may worsen secretions, constricts mucosa AFRIN Antihistamines Nasal Steroids
