Always give with food

Alpha-2 agonist
Uses: sedation
Side effects: low heart rate and increased blood pressure (vasoconstriction)
Do not give to pets with heart disease
Can be given IV or IM
Antisedan
Uses: reversal agent for dexmedetomidine
Given IM
Butorphanol
Partial opioid
Uses: sedation
Hydromorphone

Prednisone
Steroid

Side effects: increased drinking/urination, appetite, panting
