What is Lisinopril and what does it do?
ACE-inhibitor, inhibits [ACE] angiotensin-converting enzyme, stops conversion of angiotensin 1 -> 2 (reducing BP)
What does angiotensin 2 do?
Causes increases in blood pressure, influences renal tubuli to retain sodium and water, and stimulates aldosterone release from adrenal gland.

What is Losartan and what does it do?
Angiotensin receptor blocker, reduces BP by blocking receptor for angiotensin 2
What is Atorvastatin?
Statin > lowers levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the blood

Metformin, Gliclazide, Humalog
What is metformin and how does it work?
Diabetic medication, increases utilisation of peripheral glucose, suppresses gluconeogenesis
What is Gliclazide, when is it indicated?
Type 2 Diabetics, need additional support on top of metformin
What is Humalog?
Fast-acting medical insulin, will work ~15 minutes after injection
