Epinephrine Push Dose and Dirty Drip

A

Dirty drip:
code-cart epi - 1mg into a liter bag of NS. Final concentration is 1mcg/ml. Run at 1ml/min and titrate to effect.
(0.1mcg/kg/min)
Or 60ml/hr = 1mcg/min
600ml/hr = 10mcg/min

Push dose:
1ml code dose epi (100mcg/ml) into 9 cc NS flush
Now 1ml = 10mcg epi

Amiodarone (good in hf, accessory pathway)
3-7mg/kg

<48 hrs cardiovert w/ electricity (5mg etomidate)
anticoagulation w/ heparin or lmwh

Lidocaine IV bolus 1-1.5 mg/kg followed by 0.5-0.75 mg/kg up to total of 3 mg/kg followed by a continuous IV Infusion at 1-4 mg/min
