MAR required information
drug, dose, patient, time, route
Trade Name of Med
first name written on the label, always followed by the r with circle registration symbol; usually capitalized and written in bold print
Generic Name of Med
appears directly under the trade name; usually found in smaller or diffferent type letters from the trade name; somtimes is only name found on drug label
Strength of Medication Dosage
indicates amount or weight of medication supplied in specific unit of measure; could be listed per capsule, tablet or mld
