When can you enroll under the Initial Enrollment Period?
3 months before and after turning 65
When can you enroll under the General Enrollment period?
Between Jan 1 and March 31 each year
When can you enroll under the Special Enrollment Period?
Any time during the year if the individual or the spouse is still employed and covered under a group health plan.
How much is paid for inpatient hospital care?
First 60 days 100% after deductible
Next 30 days with copayment
What is not included under inpatient hospital care and is not paid for?
Doctor, transportation or medicine
How many paid days in a skilled nursing facility?
100 days each benefit period following a 3 day inpatient hospital stay for related ilness
Is there a limit to number of visits under home health care?
No
How much blood is covered under Part A?
Pays for first 3 pints
Everything after is covered if necessary
How long is hospice care paid for by Part A?
For as long as the doctor certifies the need.
