Device that provides help and support, to walk or move in cases needed.
Crutch
As crutches, is a device used to offer help and support, (specially in older people), to walk.
Walker
A chair on wheels that people who have difficulty supporting or walking themselves use to move around.
Wheelchair
Medical device that stabilizes a part of the body (specially joints), to keep in place and support, helping the relocation of the joint, or preventing the worsening of a fracture.
Splint
Device used to give support and keep joints and limbs in place.
Brace
Object made of cloth and straps, and goes around the arm and neck to provide support on the first.
Sling
Use for bandages and dressings, is a simple piece of bleach cotton cloth.
Medical Gauze
Used to cover little not risky wound’s, is made of an adhesive plaster and a small piece of gauze pad in the middle.
Band-Aid
Used to remove or take small samples (like in COVID tests); it’s made from a wad of absorbent material placed at the end of a plastic stick.
Swab
Instrument that allows health workers to identify and hear clearly sounds that the body produces and are conveyed to our ear.
Stethoscope
Small sharp like knife object, sometimes detachable, used by surgeons.
Scalpel
Device used to calculate the oxygenation in the body.
Pulse Oximeter
A very thin metal piece that’s hollow and is connected to a syringe.
Needle
Instrument used to look inside the ears.
Otoscope
Instrument used to observe objects that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
