A word that comes from the name of a person, place, or thing associated with the word. Example: Parkinson disease was named after James Parkinson
Eponym
To transport materials throughout the body using the blood. The blood transports oxygen and nutrients and collects wastes through the body. Components in the blood also fight infections and forms clots.
