Airway - pull down chin
Check c spine
Airway - head tilt chin lift
B & C - look listen feel pulse and breathing

Confirm cardiac arrest, commence compressions, call red back up, ask for bystander

Explain process to bystander
CPR, 100-120bpm, 5-6cm
Once on chest ask if they know pt, allergies, med hx, meds
Step 7
Apply defib pads, pad safety
Perspiration
Piercings
Patches
Pacemakers
Playtex
Step 8
Assess rhythm, shockable or non shockable
If shockable 120J
Step 9
Ask bystander to complete 5 rounds of 30:2 cpr:ventilations
Ask for hx, meds, conditions, allergies
Step 10
Complete airway circuit
Igel (closed circuit), catheter mount, filter, etco2, bvm, oxygen
Ensure to put on Thomas tube holder
Step 11
Attach etco2 to machine and o2 to bvm
Step 12
Explain bvm vents to bystander
Step 13
Rhythm check - shockable or non shockable
Shockable - 150J
Step 14
Bystander continue CPR
Gain access (do slowly to allow adrenaline given during shocks)
Step 15
Asses rhythm - shockable or non shockable
Shockable - 200J, adrenaline and amiodarone
Non shockable - adrenaline
