Media doesn’t necessarily reflect reality instead it creates it (Baudrillard)
What is the representation of children?
Positively
7 deadly stereotypes?
For children;
Victims, Cute, Little Devils, Brilliant etc,
Made by the middle class, adult gaze
Evans and Chandler
Children stereotypes have lead to pester power, bad for poorer parents
What is the representation of youths?
Negative, rebellious, selfish, trouble-makers, criminals, anti-social, etc
