Opinions refer to a particular person’s feeling, thought, judgement, belief, estimate, or anything not 100% true and cannot be proven.
What is the definition of fact?
Fact is a thing indisputably the case.

Healthy media sends a positive messages to consumers and doesn’t do harm to them mentally or physically.
What is unhealthy media?
Unhealthy media actually hurts the consumer.
What questions should you ask when seeing an ad?
When you see an ad you should ask the following questions:
- Who is the audience?
- Who is the sender?
- Who paid for it?

The three parts of media are:
- Paid- awareness from paid advertising such as TV commercials or newspaper ads
- Earned- awareness gained from efforts other than advertising such as news coverage
- Owned- self promotion such as a website, blog, social media, youtube
What are the two types of media?
The two types of media are:
- Old (Traditional) media- includes sources in broadcast (radio/tv) or print (newspaper, magazines, pamphlets/ flyers)
- New media- includes content that is easily accessible such as online sources and social media platforms
What is the importance of news media?
News media reports on the events of an election campaign, provides a way for parties and candidates to get their message out, encourages debate between candidates and parties, and provides a way for citizens to communicate their concerns and opinions.
