it focuses our attention on the character but still shows the environment in the frame, we can read body language of the character
whats a long shot
a long shot is taken from relatively far away, but the character is still in shot, the scene is dominated by scenery so we can feel the emphasis on the atmosphere

point of view shot allows the audience to see the world from the character’s perspective, emphasises the intensity
whats panning
panning is when you move your camera from one side to the other,shows the pass of time or travelling a distance (dramatically or comically)

tracking is when the camera follows an object

(special effects) are created on set like makeup, prosthetics, animatronics, weather

(visual effects) are a process of post production and are edited in like greenscreens
