Vascular, infectious/inflammatory, neoplastic, drugs/toxins, intervention/iatrogenic, congenital/developmental, autoimmune, trauma and endocrine/metabolic
What effect of disease does VINDICATE not include?
Psychological/psychiatric - but still very important
What are the components of vascular effects on disease?
Blood vessels - inflammation, clots and blockages

What is microscopic pathology?
A systematic approach - is it abnormal? what kind of process is it (VINDICATE)? and look at the specific features of the disease
What is autopsy pathology?
Answers questions. Cause of death, confirmation of cancer type, inherited disease, treatment complication, assess effect of frug, accurate classification of infectious disease and public health issues
Why is histology important?
‘Normal’ must be understood before you can begin to understand the disease (abnormal)
