What is the median?
A
- we need to put all the measured values in order
- if there is an odd number of values, the median is the middle value
- If there is an even number of values, the median will be the mean of the two central values

The mode is the number which occurs most often in a set of data. There can be more than one mode. (More useful when the measurements consist of discrete or integer values)
