What are your strengths?
A
Good transferrable skills:
- Practical experience of running cases and legal projects
- Qualified senior investigating officer - oversee significant serious investigations ranging from rapes, stabbings and fraud. That is about overseeing the case and holding each element to account and bringing people together. Working with lawyers from the crown prosecution service, providing updates and briefing senior officers.
- Run multiple cases simultaneously. Last week i chaired our rape and sexual offence meeting with detectives. Essentially dip checking our cases, holding them to account for progression. Bringing forensics to the table. Setting actions.

What are your weaknesses?
A
Obvious weakness is that i dont have experience in a law firm BUT
- It means I can give a different perspective
- The skills I have picked up in policing can be put to good use
- Elements of the LPM role I do now
- Worked with lawyers and barristers on cases
- Work/home life balance
- Empathy
