In 2024, I featured in Powerlist Magazine as one of 150 future Black leaders in the UK and Ireland, recognised for mentoring younger students toward higher education through social media.

How would my friends describe me?
My friends would describe me as a leader, always ready to take initiative and inspire others. They see me as a go-getter—someone who sets ambitious goals and works tirelessly to achieve them. Lastly, they’d say I’m resilient, always finding a way forward no matter the obstacles.
What are you passionate about outside of law?
I have a strong passion for wrestling—while some may see it as just entertainment, for me, it’s a form of escapism. It’s my way to unwind, refocus, and find balance when life gets challenging.
What specific area of law are you most passionate about?
Sports Law - My dreams to play football professionally clashed with my culture and so I had to think beyond just playing and that’s when I found sports law.

This dynamic environment is particularly exciting because it allows me to develop a well-rounded skill set while staying engaged with a constantly evolving legal landscape.

- As a woman of colour, I am confident that I will feel a strong sense of belonging at the firm, given its genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion, as reflected in the M:BRACE programme.
Can you describe a challenging problem you would face as a trainee and how you would handle it?
I could face a challenge with managing my workload but through a structured system of prioritisation, focusing on deadlines, urgency, and impact, I would be able to overcome that challenge.
When have you worked as part of a team?
Situation: As President of the ACS
Task: I had to lead a team of 6 in order to enhance the university experience of those of African and Caribbean culture.
Action: This was done through the planning of frequent review meetings, hosting events, and collaborations with other societies as well as School Departments.
Result: As a result, my ability to work with as well as lead a team were refined.

Tell us about a time when you had to work under pressure to meet a deadline.
Situation: Competing in the Sports Arbitration Moot
Task: required me to submit a skeleton argument and a list of legal authorities.
Action: Pressure mounted as I had to prepare for two national dodgeball competitions and manage my degree revision at the same time.
Result: Despite the pressure, I effectively coordinated with my team to ensure that we met our submission deadline.

How do you differentiate yourself from other candidates?
- Adaptability; Education in 2 countries has given me a global perspective and the ability to navigate diverse environments seamlessly.
- Confidence & Initiative; I chase the very things I am afraid of, such as public speaking, constantly pushing my boundaries to grow.
- Collaboration & Leadership; I thrive in team settings, balancing listening and leading to drive meaningful outcomes.
Why Commercial Law?
I attended my first ever WWE pay-per-view at the age of 19 and it sparked my curiosity about the legal and business considerations behind organising such large scale events. I found myself wanting to explore how commercial law intersects with business and finance which led me to deals like Mishcon’s negotiation for Matchroom Boxing.
Tell us about a recent news story you’ve read.
The UK government is pressuring Apple to create a backdoor into iCloud under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. Apple refused, citing security risks and a dangerous precedent. As of February 22, Apple has removed its highest-level data security tool, raising global concerns. This could spark compliance battles, lawsuits, and a major shift in digital privacy, with law firms at the center of it all.

Flex Legal is Mishcon’s first investment in the alternative legal services market, aligning with the firm’s commitment to making the legal industry more diverse, inclusive, and flexible. This move reflects Mishcon’s forward-thinking approach to innovation and accessibility in legal services.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years, I aim to be a fully qualified solicitor working on deals that align with my interests, particularly in sports law. I also hope to begin my journey toward becoming a solicitor advocate, allowing me to handle cases from initial legal advice through to court representation.
