Hector runs 2 3/4 miles in 1/2 hour.
Joseph runs 1.5 miles in 15 minutes.
Who is faster, Joseph or Hector?
Joseph
Does this table represent a proportional relationship?

The relationship is not proportional.
Recall: to test for proportionality, evaluate the right column divided by the left, or y/x. If each row is equal, you have a proportional relationship.
Find the absolute value.

- 175
- 27
- 47
Based on the graph, estimate the average yearly earnings for Charlotte Bobcats.

Answer: -6.75
Recall: To find the average, or mean, add up all the data points then divide by how many data points there are in the set.

Calculate the area and the circumference of the given circle. Use 3.14 for π.

Area of circle : πr2
Circumference of circle = πd
Answers:
Area = 3.14 x 7 x 7 = 153.86 units ^2
Circumference = 3.14 x 14 = 43.96 units
