- Believed capitalism was a pursuit of profit driving compassion out of society
- Agreed with marx that it lead to social inequality

What was the propertied class?
Upper-class who had large amounts of property, collecting money from tenants
What was the non propertied class?
People of Lower class not owning any property
What is the petit bourgeoisie?
Lower middle class. Small scale businesses. May have higher income than working class but still reliant on their labour
What is the manual labourer class?
Lower working class fully dependant on their income from their labour
