What is matter?
Matter is anything that has a mass and occupies space.
What is a mixture?
A mixture isa mix of two or more substances.
What is a mechanical mixture?
A mechanical mixture is a mixture in which particles of the different substances are clumped together and can be separated by hand.
What is a suspension?
A suspension is a mixture in which particles of one of the substances remains partly clumped together.
What is a solutions?
A solution is a mixture in which the particles of all of the different substances are completely mixed together.
What is a pure substance?
A pure substance is a sample of matter with both definite and constant composition and with distinct chemical properties.
What is a compound?
A compound is a substance composed of two or more separate elements.
What is an element?
An element is a substance consisting of atoms of the same atomic number (/number of protons)
