• Matter:
is anything that has mass and takes up space.
• Atom:
the smallest part of a chemical element that can exist. They are the building blocks of matter
Element:
a substance that contains only one type of atom.
Molecule:
a group of different atoms joined together.
Particle:
things that make up matter. Including atoms
Substance:
matter that has the same make-up and properties throughout.
Mixture:
two or more different substances physically combined the physical change is easily reversed
Compound:
when two or more different elements combine together chemically. This change is very difficult to reverse and a new substance is formed.
