What is a catastrophic bleed?
A catastrophic bleed is a severed major blood vessel or traumatic amputation losing up to 1 litre of blood per minute.
Describe T1/T2/T3
T1- High priority, immediate medical attention. T2- Non threatening injury but cannot walk. T3- All walking casualties.
Signs and symptoms of an obstructed airway
Snoring, Gurgling, Cyanosis, Difficult/Rapid breathing
Dangers of a head injury
Sickness and vommitting, headache, slurred speech, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of consciousness
Signs and symptoms of a sucking chest wound
visible chest wound, coughing up of pink frothy blood, shock, difficulty in breathing, chest isn’t rising as it should when breathing, pain in chest/shoulder region, possible sucking sound on respiration
What do you know about fentanyl
25% rapidly absorbed from lining of the mouth. total dosage is given over 15 minutes. second lozenge may be used after 30 minutes of first lozenge. Third lozenge may be administered under professional direction. Do not suck or chew the lozenge.

1st degree, 2nd degree, 3rd degree
7 R’s for recovery
Recongniton - At an early stage. Respite - From worse of the battle. Rest - and sleep aided by hot drinks. Recall - Relive experiences with friends. Reassurance - about their actions. Rehabilitation - occupy with useful tasks. Return - to original place in the team.
