Q

What is stratified random sampling?

A
  • Population of different strata e.g. gender, ethnicity.
  • Simple random sampling may miss out or overrepresent certain groups.
  • Divide population into groups -> random sample from each (sampling frame needed).
  • Group size proportional to actual pop size.
