What is Absolute Value?
The amount in the number, no matter what the sign (positive or negative) is.
What is Coefficient?
Number you multiply an unknown (variable) by coefficient.
What is Consecutive numbers?
Numbers that come right after each other.
What is Constant?
The part of a math problem without any unknowns (variables).
What is Constant proportionality?
The scale factor that 1 number changes from the other consistently.
What is E?
It’s another way of writing “10 to the power of x”; shorthand for large number with a lot of place value.
What is equation?
A math problem with two portions set equal to each other.
What is an exponent?
The number of times you multiply a number by itself.
What is expression?
any sets of numbers, variables, or combination of both without being set equal to anything else.
What is a function?
an equation that shows the relationship between two variables.
What is Integers?
Whole numbers + negatives.
What is Inequality?
It’s an equation that shows that the two pieces are not equal to each other, but are greater then or less than each other.
What is Interval?
It’s the range of numbers between two set value.
What is Irrational numbers?
It’s decimals that go on forever without a repeating pattern.
What is mean?
It’s also know as the average.
