Sample

Census
A survey of all members of a population
Simple random sampling
choosing a specific number of people randomly from the entire population
Systematic Random Sampling
choosing the first member randomly and then choosing the remaining members of a population at fixed intervals from the random starting point
Stratified Sampling
Dividing the population into distinct groups and then choosing the same fraction of members from each group
Non-random sampling
non-random method of choosing a sample from the population. It is cheaper and convenient, but results are not accurate.
Bias
error resulting when sample does not accurately represent the entire population
