What are “inequalities?”

A

Inequalities are like equations, except that you are solving for a range of values that the variable can be.

If x > 2, this means x is some value to the right of 2 on the number line (and there are many values like that!)

Do the same to both sides (like an equation) with one important exception:

If you mutliply or divide an inequality by a negative number, you must reverse the inequality sign
