If you are stuck on a question and just can’t seem to figure it out, always…
…go to the answer choices and see if you can plug in the numbers ;)
Use common sense to narrow down the choices
For some problems, it’s easier to work backwards from the answer choices
To solve some problems, estimates are good enough
Plug in easy numbers for variables
Instead of crunching numbers, look for a shortcut
Solve geometry problems that include figures by working the numbers, not by visual measurement
Beware of answer choices that make the problem seem to easy
Don’t assume you’re right because your solution is among the answer choices
Size a question up before taking pencil to paper
Always look for the quickest, easiest route to solve a problem, but remember: for most questions, there’s no shortcut
