Subtraction property of equality
If you subtract the same number from both sides of the equation, they stay equal
Addition property of equality
If you add the same number to both sides of the equation, they stay equal
Division property of equality
If you divide each side of an equation by any number except zero, they will stay equal
Multiplication property of equality
If you multiply each side of an equation by the same number, they will stay equal
