What is the question asking?
What is the second step to identify?
Identify the information given to me

Choose your approach
What are some approaches you could take?

What is the fourth step to identify?
Confirm that you answered the right question
What can happen when using picking numbers with questions involving variables?
Those answer choices can produce the same result so check all choices for matches
How would you check for matches when using picking numbers with variables?
Choose a number(s) for a substitute for the variables in the question, then sub the same number(s) for the variables to see any matches if there more than one matches go back and pick another number
What type of numbers should you use during picking numbers?
Numbers that are manageable, allowed by the question, and easy to work with (a small positive integer is the best choice
What do you do when using backsolving?
Plug the choices in the for unknown and see which one works
What are the best common answer choices to start with when determining what type of answer choice you’ll need?
C/H is the best when you can tell you’re looking for a smaller/larger answer choice. If the question asks for the smallest start with A/F or the largest E/K
