A number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself?
7 is a prime number and its factors are 7 and 1
What is a composite number?
Number formed by multiplying two smaller numbers
12 is a composite number of 3 x 4
What is a factor?
A number that divides into another number
The factors of 36 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36
What is a factor pair?
Two numbers that can be multiplied together to get to the original number
2 and 3 are factor pair of 6
What is a multiple?
The number you get when a number is multiplied by another number
The first six multiples of 2 are: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
Is 6 a multiple of 22?

There is not a number that 6 can be multiplied by to equal 22
